Um....

Wow. This site is completely different. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

Big News: I'm Moving to WordPress!

Image
After long consideration and tons of research, I’ve decided to leave Posterous and jump to WordPress. I’ve had a great run at Posterous and I still appreciate how the site is run. It’s a great way to have a simple blog and be in touch with friends. I love the freedom that Posterous offers and the customizable font that it gives to it's blogs. WordPress also has great features, and it will benefit the blog for the better. I'll be able to update posts from anywhere, so that means you'll get the latest, updated info; even faster than on Posterous.

I will definitely miss Posterous, but I'm very eager to be on WordPress, and with a move like this, there will be only two changes. First, a change in the interface. The banner will be bigger (which was required), and I added more things to it, showing what the blog is about. Tags will still be on the right, and so will a new feature: my tweets! If you want to follow me, just click the follow button. Speaking of twitter, that's the second change. I have some trouble having distinctions between posts from my blog and just plain links to other websites like GetGlue and TVLine. With my blog post for Posterous, I posted them on twitter with the domain post.ly, which is a link-shortening service for Posterous blogs. Now that I'm on WordPress, the link will be using the wp.me domain, which are for WordPress blogs. I will only post wp.me links from my blog, no one else's. So when you see a wp.me link on my twitter account, it's a blog post from me. So far. that's it for now! I'll be adding categories and more features soon, and I hope you stick around!

BY THE WAY: I did test out Tumblr for the blog, and posted two things there, and I will be moving them to WordPress, with the correct dates and tags.

Goodbye Posterous.

Most Wanted: The Voice Finale!

This week, the voice is dominating the list this week, as its finale has quickly come with only a little over 10 weeks since the premiere. Also, some new TV shows premiere this week, as Summer TV is nearing the end of its premieres, and a single that has everyone dancing is on this weeks list, down below!

1. The Voice Finale

We're now down to the final four as Beverly, Vicci, Javier, and Dia battle for the title of being the voice. Tune in on Tuesday for the performance show and Wednesday for the finale! Make sure you vote and have your voice heard, even though its probably not as good.

2. Love in the Wild - Series Premiere

This reality love show should be one of the summers most ridiculous, but also the most entertaining. This show charted at #5 on my top 5 new summer shows list and I'm sticking by it. It could be a hit or miss for NBC, but I'll have to tune in to find out what will happen in the premiere.

3. State of Georgia - Series Premiere

Raven Symone marks her return to television since That's So Raven ended back in 2007 on the Disney Chanel. In this new series, she plays the Georgia, an aspiring actress who moves to the Big Apple to make it big. I will definitely be watching. (WED, June 29 @8:30PM on ABC Family)

4. Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5

This disco-themed song made its debut on last week's episode of The Voice, and its been all over the place since then. It hit #1 on iTunes within 24 hours, and is still in the top 5 on iTunes. It stars Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera and has a very catchy and foot-tapping tone.

5. Necessary Roughness

Callie Thorne plays Dani Santino, a therapist who is going through her own personal struggles as she gets a big break in counseling a superstar client, an NFL player. USA tries to be smart and quirky in their shows, and this one should be no exception.

That's a wrap! Sorry for the lack of imaging, my iPod took a trip to the Apple Store, and was replaced. For now, I essentially have no iPod, therefore, I cant type posts effiently, and create post pictures. This marks the first time since I haven't had a picture leading off the Most Wanted List :( Oh well, see you next Monday on the list!

Emmys: Favorites for Performers in Comedy

Image
We're now 21 days until the Emmy Nominations are announced, and there's still a lot of speculation on who will be nominated in the performing categories. It was a great year for shows and performers alike, with more and more people pushing for an Outstanding Ensemble category, to complement the best overall cast in a show.

Edie Falco and Tina Fey are absolute locks to get a nom in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedycategory, for their performances in Nurse Jackie and 30 Rock, respectively. Other early favorites include Lea Michele (Glee), Toni Collette (which would be her last nod for United States of Tara; the show was canceled last month by Showtime), and Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation). If Amy Poehler gets nominated, I will launch a full blown campaign to support her in winning the category. No one deserves that Emmy more than Poehler, and her performance in Parks was unforgettably hilarious.

For Outstanding Supporting Actress, Jane Lynch (Glee) will of course get a nomination, as will Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara (both Modern Family). Speaking of Vergara, she may actually win this year. In season 2 of Modern Family, she made her character Gloria more three-dimensional than ever, and brought in more laughs than any other supporting actress in any other show this season, and for her to win would be a dream. Another early favorite is Rashida Jones (Parks), who also had a breakout season on her respective show (that would be another dream nod).

For Actors, expect Steve Carell to get a final nod for The Office and the usually nominated Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock. Also look out for Louis C.K. who's critically acclaimed show(FX's Louie) could get a nod by the academy for the first time this year. Another Lead Actor to pay close attention to is Joel McHale from NBC's Community. He announced the nominations last year and had no noms at all for Community, but this year is different, and with less and less true contenders for lead actor, he might finally get one. A bit of a shocking, but slightly understandable turn, Rob Lowe has submitted himself in the Outstanding Lead Actor category for his performance as Chris Traeger on NBC's Parks and Recreation. Even though he is more of a supporting actor, his male colleagues (Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, and Nick Offerman) have submitted themselves as supporting actors, and that would be much too crowded and less likely for any of them to get a nom, especially because of competition from Modern Family. Speaking of supporting actors, the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy gets tougher and tougher each year, with the Parks actors all up to get a nom. Nick Offerman seems the most likely to get a nom, and that is great news (yet another dream nod)! The actors of Modern Family are all up for this category (Ed O'Neill, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Ty Burrell), and your guess is as good as mine as to who will get nominated and who won't.

I think we covered everything for Comedy, right? Come back next Thursday for the early favorites on the Drama side!

What Will J.K. Rowling Announce Tomorrow?

Image
I'm no Harry Potter fan (I have nothing against it), but I am interested in what J.K. Rowling will unveil in less than 24 hours. It's amazing that no one has leaked anything out as of yet, but in a website put up about a week ago, it just says one thing: Pottermore.

Any fan of the books would hope that it's a new Potter book, but don't get your hopes up. Rowling's lawyer Neil Blair didn't give much away on the project, but he did say “This is not a new Harry Potter book.”

So what is Pottermore? When I first heard of it, it sounded like an online gaming community based on the Harry Potter series, like World of Warcraft or Runescape. If I'm right, then you heard it here first! Another reason I'm interested in this new venture is Just that. It's a new venture, and J.K. Rowling hasn't released much of anything other than Potter at all.

What will it be? Tune in tomorrow, and check how long before she announces Pottermore on the official website, Pottermore.com.

Most Wanted: Wilfred Sneaks Up to #1

Image
This week, another wave of new shows are set to premiere, and an animated film that I'm very excited about. Also, there's an award show that is holding it's inaugural ceremony, and it lands on the list. All that and more on this weeks list, down below!

1. Wilfred - Series Premiere (FX)

FX's latest comedy is a dark one, but will hopefully provide many laughs when it debuts this week. If you remember, this was my #1 new show to look out for this Summer, and I'm hoping it lives up to that position. Elijah Wood plays a neurotic man on the verge of suicide when an unlikely creature comes and helps out. Want to see what happens? Watch it this week.

2. Cars 2

Pixar's latest effort is a sequel to what has been referred to as the least-strong of the movie studio's films, but they are aiming to change all that with an improved storyline and Disney Digital 3D to give it an all-around great experience. Early reviews are strong, and by Friday, it should be one of the best reviewed animated films of the year.

3. Critic's Choice TV Awards

The inaugural ceremony, hosted by Cat Deeley, was held today and it's interesting who the winners were. Why "were"? Because I haven't seen the list of winners or the ceremony whatsoever. ReelzChannel will air the show, but you can watch it early online.

4. Suits - Series Premiere

USA is staying strong as far as having character based legal dramas on their schedule, and Suits is a welcome addition to it's lineup. Suits is like the lawyer version of White Collar (another USA show) and that outsider isn't a world-class con man, but a smart, non-bar certified college dropout.

5. The Killing Fallout

What the hell happened? Why wasn't the murder solved? And why the hell did it end this way?! I demand some answers, and I can't believe it ended so poorly, basically giving the middle-finger to loyal viewers.

That's a wrap! Come back next week for an all-new Most Wanted List!

Emmys: Favorites For Outstanding Comedy Series

Image
Four weeks from today we'll know this years Emmy nominations, and it'll be mostly the same.

In the category of Oustanding Comedy Series, I don't see too much of a change for the nominees. Expect black comedy Nurse Jackie to get another nomination, as well as United States of Tara, another Showtime laffer. A definite nominee this year is last years winner, the ABC mockumentary Modern Family. Speaking of mockumentaries, The Office will of course get a nomination. Another mockumentary that I'm very excited fir is NBC's Parks and Recreation. this show had it's best season yet, and is was definitely Emmy-worthy. Last but not least, a very strong Emmy contender in this category is NBC's 30 Rock. Don't underestimate this show—it's won for Outstanding Comedy Series 3 years in a row. It was beaten last year by Modern Family, but it's still s very strong bet for this year. If there's a comedy that I have no doubt will have a nomination, it's 30 Rock

Come back next week to read who wins in the performing categories in Comedy! Who will get nominated in the lead and supporting categories? That's up next Wednesday, so stay tuned!

Primetime Emmy Nominations Are One Month Away!

Image
The fall season came and went, and since it's over, Emmy season is in full swing. We are exactly one month away from the 63rd Primetime Emmy Award nominations!

We still don't know who will announce the nominations, but I do think that this will be a great year in nominees. I'm just hoping and praying that they will give an Outstanding Drama Series nomination to Friday Night Lights, which is in it's final season, and is good enough to win the whole category.

But enough of my thoughts, that will he saved for later. For the next 4 weeks, I'll be posting which shows and performers are early favorites to get nominations leading up to the Emmy nominations on Thursday, July 14.

So stay tuned for Thursdays, where I will start with the Comedy category!

Most Wanted: AMC's 'The Killing' Murders the Top Spot!

Image
This week marks the end of one of the best new shows of the year, and I'm sad to see it go. Fortunately, it's just been renewed for a second season. Also, a new epic series makes it debut this week and could be the cable version of Terra Nova (hint!). A veteran show that you've seen a lot in the last few weeks will make yet another appearance on the list, but trust me, it's warranted. What should you look out for this week? Find out on the list! Down below:

1. The Killing Season Finale

This fantastic drama mystery has kept me guessing all season, and we'll hopefully find out who killed Rosie Larson in this week's season closer. In last night's episode, the final minutes were shocking, with Linden possibly finding who killed Rosie, and I never would've guessed it—**SPOILER ALERT!** it's Seattle mayoral candidate Darren Richmond. And while you may have guessed that it's him, this show has so many twists and turns that you can't be sure, even though the evidence is stacking up against Richmond. We'll see what happens when The Killing's amazing first season wraps up this Sunday at 10 on AMC.

2. Falling Skies Series Premiere

TNT's epic new series is getting great early reviews, and I'm definitely going to give it a shot. The Steven Spielberg-produced action drama takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where aliens have invaded the earth and are practically the dominating population. The armies are wiped out, and it's up to the residing humans to fight back. I have no idea how they came up with this show without spending a ton of money, but it somehow landed on cable. It's not a serial in that it wasn't like FlashForward (fortunately,) and aims to be more like The Walking Dead in terms of being in survival mode. We'll see if this show flourishes of flops, with the 2 hour Sunday premiere on TNT.

3. Friday Night Lights

After I saw Matt return to the show, I couldn't think of a better development this far into the season. We'll see what happens with them this week but going back to Matt I started to think: "What if Landry came back to Jess, since she's so frustrated with Vince? Now that would be one hell of a plot.

4. The Voice Live Show #2

Last week was a great show, and I can't imagine who will get eliminated tomorrow night. We'll see which two (yes, TWO contestants!) will get axed from the show, and who landed in the bottom with them, which could give us a look into who could get eliminated the following week. If I had to pick two, it would be Lily and Xenia. Lily has a voice, but is way too picky and risks it all to hit a note that just can't be reached; and for Xenia, she just doesn't have the vocal range to stick around for the rest of the season.

5. Green Lantern

This new superhero flick has been in the works for awhile now (it was on the cover of my first EW issue!) and it's just now making it to theaters. Ryan Reynolds plays the legendary title character, who gets special abilities from a special ring, and uses it to fight crime. Will it stick with audiences at the box office? We'll see...

Thats it! Come back next Monday for a brand new edition of the Most Wanted List!
